Stories from the Forest

collective practice in storytelling

This upcoming online format facilitates spaces of encounter with the more-than-human ecologies, accompanied by the artists who see themselves as contributors to regenerative change for more ecological futures, promoting environmental awareness and affective connection through the practice of imagination. It invites to explore the outdoors, guided by stories that share an affinity for wilderness and change human perception of nature, inner and outer. It is a continuation and extension of our series Wild Stories.

Suzanne Simard writes about the need to feel spiritual connection to forests, so that we realise that we are part of those forests ourselves. Arts and creativity in a broader sense offer a path towards such connectedness. They offer lenses to look through, tools to experience and express, maps to guide us into other stories, in which cultures of care are rooted. Stories from the Forest is a space that invites to discover regenerative stories that support the emergence of an ecological mindset. Structured around impulses from professional artists, and invitations to imagine and find expression to observations, ideas and stories of your own.
